2025 (1) TMI 153 - SCH - Money LaunderingSeeking grant of bail - money laundering - proceeds of crime - it is alleged that petitioner was involved in dealing with the proceeds of crime and in transferring of funds of M/s. PACL through various companies and making transactions of purchasing of properties etc. - it was held by High Court that ' The petitioner herein is admitted on bail on his executing a personal bond of Rs.25.00 lacs with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court and subject to conditions imposed'. HELD THAT - It is not required to interfere with the impugned order. Although it is made clear that the observations made in the impugned judgment will not have any bearing on any further proceedings. SLP dismissed.
The Supreme Court, presided over by Hon'ble Justices M.M. Sundresh and Aravind Kumar, heard arguments from both parties' counsel. The Court decided not to interfere with the impugned order due to the passage of time. It clarified that the observations in the impugned judgment would not affect any future proceedings. Consequently, the Special Leave Petition was dismissed, and any pending applications were disposed of.
