1999 (10) TMI 302 - AT - Central Excise

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, New Delhi upheld the demand for duty on multifold straight cotton reels cleared without payment during May 1993 to February 1994. The appellants were found liable to pay duty on single ply yarn as per the Supreme Court ruling in Collector of Central Excise, Jaipur v. Banswara Syntex Ltd. The appeal was rejected.
