Rule 1 - Short title and commencement - Customs Tariff (Transitional Product Specific Safeguard Duty) Rules, 2002

[M.F. (D.R.) Notification No. 34/2002-Cus. (N.T.), dated 11-6-2002] In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 8C of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :- 1. Short title and commencement. - (i) These rules may be called the Customs Tariff (Transitional Product Specific Safeguard Duty) Rules, 2002. (iii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
