Rule 1 - Short Title and Commencement - Customs Tariff (Determination of Origin of Goods under the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of India and Republic of Singapore) Rules, 2005Extract [Notification No. 59/2005-Cus. (N.T.), dated 20-7-2005] IN EXERCISE OF THE POWER CONFERRED BY SUB-SECTION (I) OF SECTION 5 OF THE CUSTOMS TARIFF ACT, 1975 (51 OF 1975), THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT HEREBY MAKES THE FOLLOWING RULES, NAMELY :- 1. Short Title and Commencement. — (1) These rules may be called the Customs Tariff Determination of Origin of Goods under the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of India and Republic of Singapore (hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement") Rules, 2005. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of August 2005 [Name has been changed vide notificaiton no. 30/2008 Cus(NT) dated 20-3-2008 , original name was read as These Rules may be called 'Rules of Origin' for determining the origin of products eligible for the preferential tariff concessions pursuant to Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between Republic of India and Republic of Singapore (hereinafter referred to as 'the Agreement), the following Rules shall apply;]
