Rule 1 - Short title and commencement - Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise ) Group ‘A’ Rules, 2016

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 22nd April, 2016 G.S.R. 438(E). -In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in suppression of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) Group A Rules, 2012 published by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue vide G.S.R No.683 (E) dated the 13th September, 2012 in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part-II, Section (3), Sub-Section (i) dated the 13th September, 2012 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules, regulating the method of recruitment to various Group A posts of Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules shall be called the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise ) Group A Rules, 2016. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
