Criteria for Fit and Proper person. 6 . For the purpose of determining whether an applicant is a fit and proper person, the Board shall take into account the criteria specified in Schedule II of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Intermediaries) Regulations, 2008 : Provided that, where the promoter of an Index Provider is a stock exchange, clearing corporation or depository, the criteria for determining the fit and proper status of an Index Provider shall be as per the fit and proper criteria specified in Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2018 and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 2018 .
