Subject:-Information as to pending liquidation ‑ Delay in filing of statements by, liquidators ‑ Can be condoned by Government In the light of the last sentence of para 3 of Circular No. 8, dated 22‑5‑1973 [printed as Clarification 2], the Registrar of Companies should take the delayed statements on record on payment of the prescribed fee and the additional fee levied by him for delay in filing the statement. Thereafter, he should take a decision on the need to advise the Liquidator to apply to the Court for condonation of delay or not on merits of each case. In cases where the delay was for a very short period or for reasons beyond the control of the Liquidator, no such advice to obtain condonation need be given to the Liquidator or any prosecution need be launched against him.
