Issue of IEC - DGFT - 07 /2006

Issue of IEC TRADE NOTICE NO. 07/2006 Dated 27/09/2005 Attention of the trade is invited to Para 2.9 of the Handbook of Procedures Vol. I wherein provisions for grant of IEC number have been made. To facilitate issuance of Importer-Exporter Code numbers relevant application format i.e. Aayaat Niryaat Form has been printed and is available at a nominal cost at the Delhi Exporters Association Counter functioning at the ground floor of this office. On 2nd page of this form guidelines for applicants for issuance/modification of IEC have been given. The form on page 11 incorporates the checklist listing the details of annexure with this form for the benefit of the trade alongwith a printed yellow receipt which will be handed over to the applicants across the counter. The trade need not wait for a computerized receipt, as this yellow receipt will be an evidence of application having been filed in this office. This will save lot of time of applicants who otherwise have to wait for computerized receipt. These forms will be accepted at the IEC counter from 3rd of October 2005. Sd/- (D K Singh) Zonal Jt.
