Storing of Import and Export Cargo at erstwhile Basra Mazdoor line, Circular Garden Reach Road, Kolkata - Customs - 65/2004

Public Notice No. 65/2004 Dated 02/11/2004 Attention of all importers, Exporters, Steamer Agents, Clearing Agents etc. is hereby invited that in exercise of the power vested in me under section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 , I, A.K. Das , Commissioner of Customs (Port), Kolkata, do hereby notify the 43,993 sq. mtr. Area of erstwhile Basra Mazdoor Line being the adjoining additional area of N.S. Dock, as described in the schedule below, as Customs Area for the purpose of additional storing facilities mainly for container handling both Import and Export and movement of Import/Export cargo. THE SCHEDULE The erstwhile Basra Mazdoor Line, Circular Garden Reach Road, Kolkata -43 with an area of 43 with an area of 43,993 Sq. mtr. Has the following boundary. On the North : Garden Reach Road and BISN Quarters; On the West : Netaji Subhas Dock; On the South : Circular Garden Reach Road; On the East : Arya Parishad Vidyalaya, the Plot allotted to M/s. P.C. Chatterjee and Namak Mahal Road. In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 45 of Customs Act, 1962 , I hereby also appoint Kolkata Port Trust as the Custodian of the import and export goods to be stored in the erstwhile Basra Mazdoor Line being the adjoining additional area to the N.S. Dock measuring approx.. 43,993 Sq. mtr.
