It is hereby brought to the notice of all transporters, CHAs, Nepalese Importers and other stake holders that the vehicles used for handling transit cargo are required to be registered in the Nepal Bhutan Unit, Custom House, Kolkata. Registration of vehicle in the EDI system is mandatory for handling CTD (Custom Transit Declaration) cargo. For this the details viz. name of the transporter, address, vehicle number, chassis number, engine number etc. with supporting documents have to be submitted to the designated Preventive Officer of the Nepal Bhutan Unit, Custom House, Kolkata who shall enter the details in the system and shall be approved by the concerned Deputy/ Assistant Commissioner, Nepal Bhutan Unit, Custom House, Kolkata.
