Non-Receipt of Export remittance data from EDPMS developed by RBI-reg. - Customs - 39/2015

The department has developed a new module (RBI BRC Module) in consultation with RBI for monitoring the export proceeds realization in respect of the shipping bills where LEO was given after 01.04.2013. In the new module, on realization of foreign exchange, the AD bank provides the information to RBI on a daily basis. RBI in turn consolidates the realization amount for the SBS and sends the information to ICES through ICEGATE if the realization of FOB is complete or partial. Now the DG (Systems) has informed that with the introduction of the new BRC Module, realization data from RBI was expected for all SBS where LEO was post 01.04.2013. However, due to technical reasons, the AD banks were unable to transmit the realization details for shipping bills of LEO date of April,2013 to March 2014 in the new module. In view of the above, the new module i.e. online information of realization from RBI would be available only for SBS where LEO is after March, 2014. For the new module, the exporters are advised to check BRC integration status with customs, using the ICEGATE enquiry module or else follow up with the AD Banks to get the information transmitted to EDPMS.
