Attention of the Passengers, trade and industry is invited to this office Public Notice No. 80/2011 dated 20.09.2011 on the above subject. 2. As a measure to facilitate the travelling international passengers, Export Certificates are issued to the passengers departing India for high value items, which are private personal property of the passengers, if they intend to bring these items back to India, at the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, C.R. Buildings, Queens road, Bangalore. This is in addition to the facility of such Export Certificates being issued by the Customs Officers at the Bangalore International Airport itself. 3. To further simplify the procedure and to reduce the time taken in issue of such Certificates, the format of Export Certificate has been made available on the Commissionerate website www.bangalorecustoms.gov.in under a separate link 'Export Certificate . Passengers can download the format, fill in all the particulars and mail the duly filled in form to [email protected] as an attachment, atleast 24 hours in advance. The passenger should also invariably indicate the details of departure flight, date and time in the e-mail. The passengers may carry the hard copy of Export Certificate, in triplicate, with them to the Airport and present the same to the Officer manning the designated counter for this purpose at the departure level of the Airport. The facility indicated in para 3 above is an additional option and the existing options of getting the Export Certificates issued at this Office and at the International airport continue to be available.
