Attention of Nepalese importers/exporters, Customs House Agents and all concerned is invited to the Office Memorandum issued from Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi vide F.No. 552/01/2010-LC dated 05/04/2011 for affixing an additional OTL by Indian Customs for movement of Nepal traffic-in-transit from Kolkata/Haldia port w.e.f. 1st August, 2011. 2. As per the new guidelines contained in above mentioned Office Memorandum dated 05/04/2011, Indian Customs will affix an additional One Time Seal (OTL) on Nepal-bound transit goods via Kolkata/Haldia port from 1st of August, 2011 and endorse the serial number of the OTL in Customs Transit Declaration (CTD) for Nepalese traffic-in-transit. The officers at the Land Customs Station would henceforth also verify the OTL affixed by the Indian Customs at Kolkata/Haldia with the serial number of such OTL endorsed in the Customs Transit Declaration (CTD) for the Nepal-bound transit goods via Kolkata/Haldia port.
