Attention of all concerned officers is invited to the letter F. No. VAL/TECH/25/2008 dated 19/11/2008 issued by the Director General, DGOV, Mumbai on the subject matter. A copy of the said guidelines/instructions is enclosed herewith for information, guidance and strict compliance. It is directed to follow the guidelines given therein and ensure that standard UQC as provided in tariff is shown in the Bill of Entry so as to arrive at correct valuation while comparing with transaction values of contemporaneous imports. 2. Any difficulties faced in implementation of the above Circular may be brought to the notice of the undersigned immediately. 3. All the Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce/Members of Regional Advisory Committees and Custom House Agents Association are requested to publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents.
