Document tracking of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills at Bangalore Air Cargo - Activation on ICEGATE -Reg. - Customs - 118/2003

Bangalore Customs has worked in co-ordination with the Directorate of Systems to enable document tracking of all Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills on the EDI system at Air Cargo Complex through ICEGATE, as part of a central effort since there was a project on this already underway in Directorate of Systems, New Delhi. Document tracking has now been enabled and can be tracked at http://www.icegate.gov.in/jsp/Tracking_at_ICES.jsp. Please select Bangalore Air Cargo as the customs location and give any bills in the series 496743 onwards (these are live bills) and Shipping Bills from 1279350 onwards (live shipping bills). The document status will be displayed on ICEGATE itself. The query will be routed from the ICEGATE central server in New Delhi, through the leased line link from Delhi -- Chennai -- Bangalore and will be routed through the Message exchange server at ACC which will trigger a query on the main EDI Server at ACC and the query results will be sent back to the central server in Delhi for display to the querist. If there is not much congestion in the network the query will not take much time at all.
