Government have announced exemption / remission of Service Tax so far it relates to exports at the time of Foreign Trade Policy release on 19th April, 2007. 2. Trade and Industry Association, EPCs, Commodity Boards and other stakeholders are requested to forward the list of services linked to exports which may be eligible for service tax remission / exemption. 3. It would be relevant if illustration showing calculation basis for arriving at the exact figure for exemption / remission are also submitted. Comments may kindly be sent by 10th of July, 2007.
