No. S(37)-03/2017 Self Sealing (P) Port. Dated: 29.06.2019 Public Notice No. 50/2019 Sub:- Procedure for implementing renewal of Self Sealing Permission to the Exporters. Attention of the Exporters, Customs Brokers and all concerned are drawn to CBIC Circular No.26/2017-Customs dated 01.07.2017 and CBIC Circular No. 36/2017 dated 28.08.2017, read with Public Notice No. 58/2017 dated 06.10.2017 and 72/2017 dated 31.10.2017 from this Commissionerate on procedure followed for granting of Self-Sealing (RFID) permission. 2. The Self-Sealing (RFID) permission is granted for the premises of the exporter based on their ownership/ lease/ rent agreement for that particular premise and on verification of premises and required documents. After physical verification of subject premises such self sealing permission is issued to the exporter. In case of leased/ rented premises the validity is till the lease / rent period. 3. In case of rented/leased premises approved, the extension of such self sealing permission may be granted by the Deputy/ Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Self Sealing Unit on the basis of valid lease /rent agreement and physical verification of the premises. The following documents are required to be submitted at the time of renewal of the self sealing permission:- i. Request letter from Exporter to the Deputy/ Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Self Sealing Unit. ii. Self-Certified Copy of old self sealing certificate issued by this unit. iii. Self-Certified copy of IEC, PAN and GSTN Registration No. iv. Valid lease /rent agreement for the subject premises. 4. The above procedure is to be followed for renewal of such self sealing permission to exporters for only those premises}, where initial permission has been given by the Commissioner of Customs (Port) which was for a limited period of time based on rent/lease agreement. Denial of permission in such cases would be subject to any specific and adverse information in a particular case with the permission of Commissioner of Customs (Port). 5.
