The tenure of the RAC is from 01.07.2017 to 31.12.2018. The functions of the RAC will be purely advisory in nature and intended for resolving procedural difficulties of a general nature. The RAC will not discuss policy issues, any Individual/ specific cases and cases Pending before judicial and quasi-judicial fora. 4. The meetings will be held on quarterly basis and the members will be informed in advance about the date and the venue of each meeting and no members other than the one nominated can sit in the meetings. The meeting will normally be held in the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of GST and Central Excise, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Chennai. However, if need be, it may be held at the Headquarters of the Commissionerates or any other place in the Zonal jurisdiction, as decided by the Principal Chief Commissioner. 5. In consonance with the digital initiatives of the Government, communications will be made primarily through e-mail. Members are requested to send their queries and other correspondence through e-mail. The Members are further requested to update their contact details viz. Mobile Numbers, email IDs, Fax Numbers and Landline Numbers to this office whenever there is any change. 6. The decision of the Principal Chief Commissioner is final with regard to any matters concerning the RAC. 7. The Trade Industry Associations/ Chambers of Commerce are requested to bring the contents of the Trade Notice to the notice of all their members.
