In order to ensure the uniformity in the administration of the Goods and Services Tax Act being administered by the Centre and State, all the Amendments in the Act the Rules as well as the changes in the Rates of Tax that take place, all corresponding amendments in Act Rules, Notifiations, Ciriulars, Removal of Difiulty orders as issued by the GST Council are also issued simultaneously by the State of Andhra Pradesh and the same are posted on the portal of the Commercial Taxes Department for information and useful knowledge of all the officers of the APCTD. Similarly, the Help fles for operation of diferent modules and changes made there in from time to time by the GSTN also are made available to the departmental officers through the GST log in. Further, the orders passed by the Advanie Ruling Authority of Andhra Pradesh, are also made available on the portal. The details of availability are as under. Needless to state that there is every need to be enrich oneself with the changes but also update the knowledge of the officers and staf working in the divisions accordingly by providing them the same on a regular basis. Any issue, that requires discussion or further clarifcation, may be brought to the notice of the under signed for necessary instructions. The training calendar has been drawn and any inputs from the fled officers for any special session on any specifc issue(s) that would be useful for a larger section of officers is welcome. The CST-Policy may be contacted for this purpose. It is well known that ignorance of law is no excuse. Any proceeding concluded without taking into account the latest position in law that results in under assessment will be viewed as dereliction of duty as also any proceeding not initiated in time as per the extant law. The accomplishment of the officers in the area of keeping updated in knowledge and its application for augmentation of revenue will be one key indicator in assessing his/her overall performance.
