Building, Queen s Road, Bengaluru 560 001 DIN : 20220372MR0000777B43 DATED : 08.03.2022 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 07 / 2022 Subject :- Customs: ICES Advisory 03/2022 Implementation of Customs Brokers Licensing (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 in respect of period of validity of Customs Broker License in ICES reg. ***** Kind reference is invited to Board s Notification No. 62/2021-Customs (N.T.) dated 23.07.2021 for suspension of Customs Broker license. The same has been implemented in System in respect of the period of validity of Customs broker license. Now, at the time of registration of Customs broker license in POLOFF role, the validity period (i.e. expiry date) has been made optional. If no expiry date is mentioned, the requirement of extending the license date in System has been done away. Further, if no documents are filed by the Customs broker in the Customs EDI System for a period of one year, the license would be suspended on PAN India basis in the System automatically. System would consider 365 days period from the last filing date or date of registration, whichever is later, for the purpose of one year period. The suspension can be revoked using the already existing functionality under POLOFF and POLMGR role in ICES. The reference screenshots are attached under Annexure A. 2. In addition, the existing functionalities in ICES for inserting the suspension and revocation of Customs Broker license remains as such. 3. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice will be considered as Standing Order for officers/staff. 4.
