ORDER No. 03/WBGST/PRO/2023 Dated: 07.07.2023 Subject: Deselection of RTPs selected for Audit as per section 65 of the WBGST Act, 2017 for the period starting on or after 1st day of April, 2018 and ending on or before 31st day of March, 2019 and for the period starting on or after 1st day of April, 2019 and ending on or before 31st day of March, 2020. WHEREAS, The Commissioner, State Tax, West Bengal selected a number of registered persons for conducting audit under section 65 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Act, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) for the period starting on or after 1st day of April, 2018 and ending on or before 31st day of March, 2019 and for the period starting on or after 1st day of April, 2019 and ending on or before 31st day of March, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the said periods); AND WHEREAS, an order bearing number 16/WBGST/PRO/2022, dated 23.12.2022 was issued by the Commissioner, State Tax, West Bengal with respect to such selection, under sub-section (1) of section 65 of the said Act; AND WHEREAS, I am satisfied that Audit of nine (09) registered persons under different jurisdictions, specified in the list annexed, is not required for the said periods due to reasons specified in the list annexed; NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 65 of the said Act, I hereby deselect such nine (09) registered persons, specified in the list annexed, from Audit under section 65 of the said Act for the said periods. 2 . This order shall come into force with effect from 1st day of July, 2023.
