Attention of all authorized couriers is invited to Customs (Electronic Cash ledger) Regulations, 2022 notified vide Notification No.20/2022-Customs(N.T.) dated 30.03.2022. It is informed that Electronic Cash Ledger (ECL) facility is being developed in accordance with the above Notification. 2. The Electronic Cash Ledger (ECL) module is planned to be rolled out by ICEGATE from 01 st April, 2023 for payment of all Customs duties. All the payments for duty, interest, fees or penalty will have to be made from e-cash ledger only, once the facility is made operational and thereafter the existing payment modes shall be discontinued. 3. All authorized couriers need to get registered on ICEGATE portal before 01 April, 2023 to avail this facility. Directorate General of Systems and Data Management issued the advisory for ECCS users for registration on ICEGATE on 28.11.2022 (https://www.icegate.gov.in/ guidelines /eccs-users-registration-icegate-advisory }. 4. Manner of maintaining, making payments and addressing discrepancies in Electronic Cash Ledger is illustrated vide Notification No.20/2022-Customs (N.T.) dated 30.03.2022, available on CBIC website. 5S.
