Fixing of RG-1 stage for Carbon Black - Instruction - Regarding Circular No. 56/88-CX.6 Dated 22-7-1988 [From F. No. 204/27/87-CX.6] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject: Fixing of RG-1 stage for Carbon Black - Instruction - Regarding. A point has been raised as to what would be RG.1 stage in respect of Carbon Black. It is understood that Carbon Black is initially stored in silos which are divided into compartments for storing different varieties of Carbon Black and from the silos the Carbon Black is taken for bagging in paper bags. 2. The matter has been examined in consultation with Director General of Inspection. Looking to the fluffy nature of the product and variable density (which depends on raw material used), and the quantity of product in silos would not be correctly ascertainable. Therefore, it has been decided by the Board that the product may be accounted in the RG.1 only after the same has been packed into bags. 3. A trade notice may be issued for the benefit of the trade.
