Visits to Small scale units - Instructions regarding Circular No. 22/88 Dated 15-3-1988 [From F. No. 218/5/88-CX.6] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject: Visits to Small scale units - Instructions regarding. A suggestion was made in the North Zone Tariff Conference held in December, 1987 for reviewing Board's instructions relating to visit of Inspectors and Superintendents to small scale factories issued under F.No. 223/17/86-CX.6, dated 10-3-1986 (Telex). It was informed by Member, Central Board of Excise Customs that the matter would be examined by the Board. 2. The matter has since been examined by the Board. In view of the fact that these instructions have not in any way obstructed the effective administration of Central Excise Law, there is no immediate necessity for withdrawing these instructions. It has therefore been decided by Board that said instructions may continue to be followed by the field formations. 3. Specific cases where difficulties are being experienced in implementing these instructions may be brought to the notice of the Board for reviewing the position after a year.
