Denotifying certain banks for collection of VAT/ST/CST dues - VAT - Delhi - No. F.27(95)/Policy/2005/CST/PF/1597Extract OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER TRADE TAXES BIKRI KAR BHAWAN, IP ESTATE, NEW DELHI (POLICY BRANCH) No. F.27(95)/Policy/2005/CST/PF/1597 Dated : 20/09/05 ORDER The following banks, which were earlier notified as appropriate Government Treasury to collect sales tax dues during the Delhi Sales Tax regime, but which have not been notified as Appropriate Government Treasury for the purpose of deposit of VAT/ST/CST dues in relation to a dealer who is or is liable to be registered under the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, consequent upon implementation of Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004 w.e.f. 1.4.2005, are hereby denotified for collection of VAT/ST/CST dues from the dealers registered with the Value Added Tax Department with effect from 30.9.2005:- 1. State Bank of Saurashtra, C-Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi 2. State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, 4/90, Connaught Circus, New Delhi 3. State Bank of Patiala, 28, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi 4. State Bank of Mysore, 23/1, Regal Building, Connaught Place, New Delhi 5. State Bank of Travancore, 203-204, Municipal Market Building, Karol Bagh, New Delhi 6. State Bank of Hyderabad, 19 K.G. Marg, New Delhi 7. Allahabad Bank, 17, Parliament Street, New Delhi 8. Bank of India, 54, Janpath, New Delhi 9. Bank of Maharashtra, B-29, Connaught Circus, New Delhi 10. Central Bank of India, 70, Janpath, New Delhi 11. Dena Bank, M-36, Connaught Circus New Delhi 12. United Bank of India, 90-B, Connaught Circus, New Delhi 13. United Commercial Bank, 5, Parliament Street, New Delhi. The above mentioned banks are further directed to remit their Sales Tax/Central Sales Tax/Works Contract Tax/Value Added Tax collections with Reserve Bank of India before 30.9.2005 and ensure that no loss of revenue is caused to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Verma) Commissioner (Value Added Tax) No. F.27(95)/Policy/2005/CST/PF/1597 Dated : 20/09/05 Copy to : 1) Concerned banks. 2) GM, RBI, New Delhi with the request that:- (i) if any instance of acceptance of Value Added Tax/Sales Tax/Central Sales Tax by any bank in violation of this Notification after 15.9.2005 comes to their notice, the same should be viewed very seriously and should be intimated to us. Further no remittance of said taxes should be accepted by RBI from the above mentioned denotified banks after 30.9.2005 without the specific permission of this department. (ii) Copy of the instruction/guidelines issued to other notified banks regarding transmission of data electronically is enclosed.
