INSTRUCTION NO. 1733/CBDT Dated: November 12, 1986 I am directed to refer to Instruction No. 1721 dated the 1st August, 1986 regarding the termination of Agreement on Merchant Shipping between the Government of the Republic of India and Government of the People's Republic of Bulgaria. 2. The Ministry of Transport, Department of Surface Transport, (Shipping wing) has now informed that as a gesture of friendship, the notice of termination of this Agreement given by the Indian Ambassador in Sofia to the Government of the People's Republic of Bulgaria on 20th January, 1986, has been withdrawn. The notification No. GSR 184(E) published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part-II Section 3 sub-section (i) dated the 15th April, 1977 relating to the Agreement on Merchant Shipping between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the People's Republic of Bulgaria is still operative. Instruction No. 1721 dated the 1st August, 1986 stands withdrawn. 3. This may kindly be brought to the notice of all officers in your charge.
