Advanced increments to staff in IT dept. - Income Tax - 1803/1989

INSTRUCTION NO. 1803/CBDT Dated: January 5, 1989 It has been decided with the concurrence of Department of Expenditure and Department of Personnel and Training that the scheme of grant of advance increments to staff in Income-tax Department (i.e. LDCs, UDCs, Inspectors of Income-tax, Head Clerks, Supervisors and Stenographtes) on passing the Departmental Examination of the next higher grade as provided in Department of Revenue's letter No.F.2(29)-Ad.VIII/53 dated 24.7.55 and No. 6/83/57-Ad.IX dated 8.12.60 would continue to be in existence even after the introduction of the revised scales of pay effective from 1.1.86. 2. This may be brought to the notice of all officers working in your region.
