Central Government specifies LIC Mutual Fund set up by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, a corporation established by the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956) u/s 10(23D) NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.477(E) DATED 22-6-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (23D) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies LIC Mutual Fund set up by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, a corporation established by the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), as the Mutual Fund of public financial institutions for the purposes of the aforesaid provision.
