M/s. Newfound Properties and Leasing Pvt. Ltd has now proposed for de-notification of 1.76 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone - S.O. 808 (E) - Special Economic Zone

Rescinded Vide Notification No. S.O. 4127(E) dated 07-11-2019 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th March, 2017 S.O. 808(E).- Whereas, M/s. Newfound Properties and Leasing Pvt. Ltd, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology enabled services at Trans Thane Creek Industrial Area, MIDC, District Thane in the State of Maharashtra; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of 21.26 hectares area at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notifications Numbers S.O. 2094(E) dated 22nd August, 2008 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Newfound Properties and Leasing Pvt. Ltd has now proposed for de-notification of 1.76 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. SEZ-2014/CR-133/2015/Ind-2, dated 03rd January, 2017; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 1.76 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.76 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 19.50 hectares, comprising the Plot numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE S.
