Central Government notifies 0.850 hectares area and de-notifies 2.520 hectares area at Nagavara Village, North Bangalore Taluk , in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 1391(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 26th April, 2017 S.O. 1391(E). -WHEREAS, M/s. 1 [Karle Infra Pvt. Ltd.], a private organization in the State of Karnataka, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled services and business process outsourcing sector at 1 [Nagavara Village], North Bangalore Taluk , in the State of Karnataka; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 10.876 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 2870(E) dated 12th December, 2008 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. 1 [Karle Infra Pvt. Ltd.], has now proposed to include an area of 0.850 hectares and decrease an area of 2.520 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its No Objection to the proposal of above developer for decrease in area of 2.520 ha vide their letter No. CI 86 CSC 2014 dated 11.04.2017; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for addition of 0.850 hectares and de-notification of an area of 2.520 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an area of 0.850 hectares and de-notifies an area of 2.520 hectares, thereby making total area of the Special Economic Zone as 9.206 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR ADDITIONAL AREA S.No. Name of the Village Survey No. Area (in Hectares) 1.
