Gas Cylinders (Amendment) Rules, 2010 - F. No. 3 (1)/2002-Expl. - G.S.R. 740(E) - Indian LawExtract MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 31 st August, 2010 G.S.R. 740(E). - Whereas a draft of certain rules to amend the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2004 was published, as required by sub-section (1) of Section 18 of Explosive Act, 1884 (4 of 1884) vide notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion)No. G.S.R. 857(E) dated 3rd December, 2009 in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) dated 3rd December, 2009, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of a period of forty-five days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; And whereas, the copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on 3 rd day of December, 2009, And, whereas, no objections and suggestion's have been received by the Central Government; Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by Sections 5 and 7 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Gas Cylinders (Amendment) Rules, 2010. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2004, in rule 2 in clause (viii) after the word Methane , the words or suitable mixtures of I hydrogen and Methane shall be inserted. [F.
