Central Government de-notifies an area of 8.56 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 13.48 hectares at Hebbal Industrial Area, District Mysore, in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 3594 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th July, 2018 S.O. 3594(E).- Whereas, M/s. Infosys Limited (Formerly, M/s Infosys Technologies Limited), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology enabled services at Hebbal Industrial Area, District Mysore, in the State of Karnataka; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified and de-notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below:- S. Infosys Technologies Limited to M/s. Infosys Limited vide letter dated 27th December, 2011; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Infosys Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 8.56 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.VTPC/AD-1/SEZ/Infosys-NOC/2017-18 Dated 3rd February, 2018; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 8.56 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; AND, NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 8.56 hectares , thereby making resultant area as 13.48 hectares , comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
