Exemption u/s 35AC -Approves various institutions as an eligible project or scheme NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.64 ( E ) DATED 30-1-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause ( b ) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government on the recommendations of the National Committee, hereby approves the institutiion specified in column 1 of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects and schemes and the estimated cost thereof as mentioned in column (2) of the Table below and specifies in column (3) of the said Table, the maximum amount of such cost which may be allowed as deduction under the said section 35AC : TABLE Name of the institution Project or scheme Maximum amount of cost to be allowed as deduction under section 35AC (1) (2) (3) Sri Satya Sai Medical Trust, Prasanthi Nilayam, District Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Pin-515 134 (a) Maintenance and running of cardiology department; (b) Repairs/renewals in the hospital as a whole; 1 [ (c) Maintenance of Opthalmology and 2nd 3rd phase of ENT Department ] . ₹ 1,527 lakhs plus the amount of donations received in respect of projects and schemes already approved under Notification S.O. 521(E) (See [1994] 210 ITR (St.) 113.), dated 14th July, 1994, and S.O. No. 614(E) (See [1995] 211 ITR (St.) 126.) dated 23rd August 1994 to the extent the amount collected by way of donations could not be utilised for the projects or schemes mentioned in the aforesaid notification.
