Export Policy of Bio-fuels - 29/2015-2020 - Foreign Trade Policy

Government of India Ministry of Commerce Industry Department of Commerce Directorate General of Foreign Trade Notification No. 29/2015-2020 New Delhi, the 28 th August, 2018 Subject: Export Policy of Bio-fuels S.O. 4196 (E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the export policy of biofuels under Chapter 27 of ITC (HS), 2018, Schedule - 2 (Export Policy) . 2. New entries at Sl. No. 115A, 115B and 115C are inserted in Chapter 27 of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export Import Items as follows: S.No. Tariff Item HS Code Unit Item Description Present Policy Revised Policy Policy Condition 115A 2207 20 00 kg/u Ethyl alcohol and other spirits, denatured, of any strength. Free Restricted Export is permitted under license only for non-fuel purposes 115B 2710 20 00 Kg/u Petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude) and preparations not elsewhere specified or included, containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the preparations, containing biodiesel, other than waste oils. Free Restricted Export is permitted under icense only for non-fuel purposes 115C 3826 00 00 Kg/u Biodiesel and mixtures thereof, not containing or containing less than 70% by weight of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals. Free Restricted Export is permitted under license only for non-fuel purposes 3. Effect of this Notification: Export Policy of bio-fuels is revised from Free to Restricted as per the National Policy on Biofuels-2018.
