Central Government specified Sri Sundaravaradaraja Perumal Temple, Uttaramerur, Chengalput District, Tamil Nadu NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.2578 DATED 3-10-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of sub-section (2) of section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specified Sri Sundaravaradaraja Perumal Temple, Uttaramerur, Chengalput District, Tamil Nadu, to be a place of public worship of reknown throughout the State of Tamil Nadu for the purpose of the said section. This notification will be valid only for the repair/renovation work of Sri Sundaravaradaraja Perumal Temple to the extent of Rs. 68,60,100 (Rupees sixth eight lakhs sixty thousand one hundred only).
