Central Government specifies Arulmigu Thiruvaleeswarar Temple , Madras , Government by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department of Tamilnadu u/s 80G NOTIFICATION NO. S.O. 228 DATED 20-1-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of sub-section (2) of section 80-G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies Arulmigu Thiruvaleeswarar Temple, Madras, Government by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department of Tamilnadu, as a place of historical and archaeological importance and a place of worship of renown throughout the State of Tamil Nadu for the purpose of the said section. This notification will be valid only for the repair/renovation work of Arulmigu Thiruvaleeswarar Temple to the extent of Rs. 3,25,000 (rupees three lakhs twenty-five thousand only).
