SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 21st September, 1999 S.O. 775 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 30 of Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations further to amend Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996, namely: 1 .(i) These regulations may be called Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 1999. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'regulations'), - (a) in regulation 19, in clause (a), - (i) in sub clause (viii), in the first proviso, for the following words, the following limits: Net worth (in lakhs) Aggregate value of Portfolio of Securities 50 upto (including) 750 35 times of the net worth above 750 and upto 5000 50 times of the net worth ; the words, 100 times of the net worth of the stock broker shall be substituted.
