Central Government specifies Adhanoor Sri Renganathaswamy Temple, Adhanoor, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District u/s 80G NOTIFICATION NO. S. O. 412 DATED 14-1-1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( b ) of sub-section (2) of section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies "Adhanoor Sri Renganathaswamy Temple, Adhanoor, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District" to be a place of public worship of renown throughout the State of Tamil Nadu and other nearby States for the purpose of the said section. This notification will be valid only for the repair/renovation work to the extent of Rs. 16,70,000 (rupees sixteen lakhs seventy thousand only) and will cease to be effective after 31-3-2002.
