Amendment in Export policy of Onions - 27/2015-2020 - Foreign Trade Policy

Government of India Ministry of Commerce Industry Department of Commerce Directorate General of Foreign Trade Notification No. 27/2015-2020 New Delhi, Dated : 28 th October, 2019 Subject: Amendment in Export policy of Onions S.O. 3870(E).- In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), read with Paragraph 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Notification No. 21/2015-20 dated 29.09.2019 relating to export of onion with immediate effect. 2. Export of Bangalore Rose onions against SI. No 52 of Chapter 7 , ITC (HS) Export Policy, 2018 shall be allowed for export upto quantity of 9,000 MT subject to the following conditions: I. The export shipment of Bangalore Rose Onion shall be allowed only through Chennai port and export to be completed by 30th November, 2019. II. An exporter shall have to get a certificate from the Horticulture Commissioner, Government of Karnataka certifying the item and the quantity of Bangalore Rose Onion to be exported. III. The certificate shall be registered by the exporter at the Office of Additional DGFT, Bangalore. IV. The office of Additional DGFT, Bangalore shall monitor the total quantity being allowed for exports and issue registration certificate based on the quantity of Bangalore Rose Onion allowed for export by Horticulture Commissioner, Government of Karnataka. V. The Customs Authorities at the Chennai port will allow export of Bangalore Rose Onion on the basis of Certificate from Horticulture Commissioner and registration certificate from Office of Additional DGFT, Bangalore. 3. Effect of this Notification: Export of Bangalore Rose Onion ( Serial Number 52, Chapter 7 ), upto a quantity of 9000 MT, has been allowed for the period upto 30th November, 2019, with immediate effect.
