Central Government de-notifies an area of 4.81 hectares, thereby making resultant area of the SEZ as 5.352 hectares,at Village Nellikode, District Kozikkode in the State of Kerala - S.O. 9 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th December, 2020 S.O. 9 (E).- Whereas, M/s. Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Limited had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Village Nellikode, District Kozikkode in the State of Kerala; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified 10.162 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 453(E) dated 23rd February, 2010; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Limited Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 4.81 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. IT-A2/133/2019-ITD dated 24th February, 2020; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 4.81 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 4.81 hectares , thereby making resultant area of the Special Economic Zone as 5.352 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the areas given below in the table, namely: - TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
