Amendment in Notification No. S.O. 698(E) dated the 3rd October, 1997 NOTIFICATION NO. 11197 DATED 4-1-2000 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause ( b ) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government on the recommendations of the National Committee hereby amends the notification of Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number S.O. 698(E) dated the 3rd October, 1997 as follows namely : In the said notification, in the Table against serial number 2 relating to Mamta Lachmi Rotary Charitable Society, Adipur, Kutch, Gujarat, in column (4) relating to maximum amount of cost to be allowed as a deduction under section 35AC, for the letters, figures and words "Rs. 19 lakhs plus a corpus fund of Rs. 15 lakhs", the letters, figures, words and brackets "Rs. 38.82 lakhs (including a corpus fund of Rs. 15 lakhs)" shall be substituted.
