Central Government de-notifies an area of 0.469 hectares thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 5.78 hectares. at Nanakramguda Village, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, in the State of Telangana - S.O. 1186 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th March, 2022 S.O. 1186(E). -WHEREAS, M/s. Phoenix Tech Zone Private Limited (formerly M/s. Phoenix Embassy Tech Zone Private Limited) had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a Sector Specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES) at Nanakramguda Village, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, in the State of Telangana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with Rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , notified the areas of 3.95 hectares and 2.30 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 687(E) dated 22.02.2017 and S.O. 2179(E) dated 04.07.2017 , respectively. AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Phoenix Tech Zone Private Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 0.469 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 1325/ITE C/Prom/2016 dated 07th January, 2021. The Developer committed to utilize the denotified area for creation of infrastructure which would sub serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged and such de-notified area will conform to land use guidelines/master plans of the respective State Governments as noted in the Government of Telangana s aforesaid letter dated 07th January, 2021; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.469 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.469 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 5.78 hectares.
