Sector specific SEZ for Multi-Sector SEZ (formerly FTWZ) in the State of Tamil Nadu - Additional area notified - S.O. 4795(E). - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ DIVISION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd November, 2023 S.O. 4795(E). Whereas, M/s. J. Matadee Free Trade Zone Private Limited (formerly M/s. J. Matadee Eco Parks Private Limited), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Multi-Sector SEZ (formerly FTWZ) at Mannur and Valarpuram Villages, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , notified an area of 40.625 hectares and an addition area of 44.150 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 465 (E) dated 10th March, 2008 and S.O. 1317 (E) dated 21st May, 2009 , respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. J. Matadee Free Trade Zone Private Limited, has now proposed for inclusion of an additional area of 14.445 (9.330+5.115) hectares as a part of above Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 14.445 (9.330 + 5.115) hectares, as a part of above Special Economic Zone, thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 99.220 hectares.
