Central Government de-notifies an area of 4.4723 hectares at Village Gwal Pahari, Gurugram in the State of Haryana - S.O. 844 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ DIVISION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 23rd February, 2024 S.O. 844(E). Whereas, M/s. ASF Insignia SEZ Pvt. Ltd (formerly M/s. Canton Buildwell Pvt. Ltd.), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Village Gwal Pahari, Gurugram in the State of Haryana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table:- Sl. ASF Insignia SEZ Pvt. Ltd has now proposed for de-notification of 4.4723 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Haryana has given its approval to the proposal vide Memo No. SEZ/ M/s ASF Insignia SEZ Pvt. Ltd./ 15953-A dated 7th December, 2023. Further, after de-notification, the land parcels would be utilized toward creation of infrastructure which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 4.4723 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 4.4723 hectares at Village Gwal Pahari, Gurugram in the State of Haryana, thereby making resultant area as 14.8305 hectares.
