MINISTRY OF CORPORATE A FFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th August, 2009 G.S.R. 613(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Section 63 read with sub-section (1) of Section 14 , of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Competition Commission of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2003 , namely : - 1. (1) These rules may be called the Competition Commission of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Second Amendment Rules, 2009. (2) These rules shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In Competition Commission of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2003 , in rules 7 , 8 and 9 , for the words as applicable to officers of the Central Government in Apex Grade (rupees eighty thousand-fixed) in the case of Chairperson and Grade Pay of rupees twelve thousand in the Pay Band 4 (Rupees 37400-67000) in the case of Members, wherever they occur, the following shall be substituted, namely:- as are prescribed for the Secretary to the Government of India . Note.- The principle rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide G.S.R. 784(E), dated 6 th October, 2003 and were amended vide G.S.R. 136 (E), dated 27 th February, 2009 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) .
