Amendment in Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009 added with Notification No 30 dated 13.08.2008 NOTIFICATION NO. 65 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 NEW DELHI , DATED 1st December, 2008 S.O.(E) In exercise of power conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009 added vide Notification No. 30 dated 13th August, 2008 : " The import / export of rough diamond (HS Code 7102.10, 7102.21 or 7102.31) from / to Venezuela shall be prohibited in view of voluntary separation of Venezuela from the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS). No Kimberley Process Certificate shall be accepted / endorsed / issued for import and export of rough diamonds from / to Venezuela." This issues in public interest.
