Designation changes in certain Notifications Notification No. 29/95-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 30-6-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excises Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following amendments in the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), Nos. 354/86-Central Excises, dated the 20th June, 1986, 471/86-C.E., dated the 29th December, 1986, 189/87-C.E., dated the 31st July, 1987, 25/92-C.E., dated the 9th October, 1992 and 34/94-C.E., dated the 12th July, 1994, namely :- In the said notifications, for the words "Collector of Central Excise", "Collector of Customs", and "Assistant Collector of Central Excise", wherever they occur, the words "Commissioner of Central Excise", "Commissioner of Customs", and "Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise" respectively shall be substituted.
