Closure of salt works Notification No. 35/89-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 24-7-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 109 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby direct that on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the salt works bearing licence No. 43 covering an area of 14.24 acres in Rajakkamangalam Salt Factory, in Neendakarai B Village in Agastheeswaram Taluk in Kanyakumari District in the State of Tamil Nadu, shall be closed down for salt manufacture and that the licence relating to shall stand cancelled.
