Designation - Changed from "Collector" to "Commissioner" Notification No. 96/95-C.E. Dated 26-5-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment or further amendment, as the case may be, in each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Company Law, Department of Revenue and Insurance, Department of Revenue and Banking or Department of Revenue, as the case may be), specified in the Schedule below, namely :- For the word "Collector" wherever it occurs, the word "Commissioner" shall be substituted.
