Yarn - Amendment to Notification No. 35/95-C.E. Notification No. 81/95-C.E. Dated 7-4-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Textiles and Textile Articles) Act, 1978 (40 of 1978), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 35/95-Central Excises, dated the 16th March, 1995, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 1, in column (3), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely, - "Yarn (other than sewing thread), double or multifold including cabled yarn, whether or not dyed, printed, bleached or mercerised".
